Re: Saving a relationship
There are enough controversial issues around gender, sexuality and the existence of that kind of "trade" or "work" however it is described ... not sure open discussion is permitted ... I can easily say the wrong thing.
@despairingmum You figured out how the tagging with @ works. It is a way people know a post is directed for them, otherwise they may only stuble on a reply by accident.
I had to wall off a part of my heart regarding it all. There was nothing I could do. I have been shocked by the lack of understanding about it whenever I have tried to discuss it.

Re: Saving a relationship
Thats a very difficult situation for you. Your daughter is following a trend of liberal feminism which adheres to the sexualisation & objectification of women. Its a modern trend. Its all money based and feed young women the idea that they gain self worth this way. They do not. The porn industry is extremely harmful to her, all women, young girls / boys and men too. Have a look at an org in AU called Collective Shout for more info on topic. I myself am not sure of orgs that support you her family as so many are pro prostitution- ethically it is not work, but liberal fem claims it to be. There are millions of young women like your daughter. All you can do it keep the lines of communication open with her. Social media and online sex companies make women selling their bodies even easier now days. Express to her you are not anti sex but her objectifying herself, say consent cannot be paid for or rented by men. Share Collective Shout with her. A Book by a lady Rachel Moran Paid For is also about the harms of sex industry.
