Re: My life partner has Bipolar ii
Got the sad news today, Mr Darcy has pancreatic cancer. I will need to travel to city to be with him (he is being airlifted). Early days - staging yet to occur - posting will be a bit hit and miss.
Am hoping pdoc will call me in relation to managing this next phase

Re: My life partner has Bipolar ii
In major city hospital now for procedure/ treatment planning. Mr Darcy beside himself about the time he has been in hospital/ unknown discharge date/ concern about need for major surgery. Found that regional hospital had been giving him half dose of one of his psych meds in error (1 not 2 tabs). I rang pdoc to see about prn meds and checked with staff at desk as to meds/ dosages he was getting to see if discussed adjustments had been made by psych team I picked up the mistake.
Last thing he/ we need is a psychotic episode.

Re: My life partner has Bipolar ii
Ohh wow @Former-Member , now we can see why Mr Darcy was having a hard time -- because of his meds
Sending you hugs
Mr shaz went to the doctor about his worries about the meds like @greenpea
Last week the doctor gave him a newer version of the meds ---- not working
So back on the old meds again

Re: My life partner has Bipolar ii
Wow... Not good on behalf of the hospital @Former-Member
Continue to pray for you both in these difficult times.
Thinking of you and feeling for you in all of this as you support Mr D and navigate an ever changing environment yourself.
